About Stacklit

Stacklit is an independent review site for nootropics and focus supplements, written for people who are allergic to hype. We started from a simple frustration: nearly every "review" in this category is rewritten marketing copy with a buy button. We do the unglamorous work instead.

Our methodology

  1. Dose vs. trial check. For every ingredient, we compare the label dose to the doses used in published human trials. Underdosed ingredients are called out by name.
  2. Label transparency audit. Fully disclosed doses pass; proprietary blends fail. No exceptions.
  3. Testing verification. We check whether the company publishes third-party certificates of analysis — the only independent quality verification that exists for supplements.
  4. Evidence grading. Ingredients are sorted honestly: strong human-trial support, promising but early, or marketing. We say which is which.
  5. Commission blindness. Rankings are finalized before affiliate terms are considered. Our partners are listed in our disclosure; our verdicts don't know about them.

What we're not

We're not clinicians, and nothing on this site is medical advice. We're not biohackers chasing exotic compounds — we deliberately avoid research chemicals and gray-zone ingredients. And we're not neutral about hype: we consider exaggerated claims a reason to distrust a product, not a reason to buy it.

Editorial standards

We never invent test results, never quote prices we haven't verified on the retailer's page, and never promise outcomes a supplement can't promise. When evidence is thin, we say so — including about products we link to. Corrections: if we get something wrong, we fix it and note the fix. Tell us when you spot an error.
